Online counseling can be a great tool if you have a busy schedule or prefer the comfort of your own home to work in counseling. Counseling is beneficial for those willing to be vulnerable, honest, and open to growth. Many people feel more comfortable being open in their own home or the car, and we want to support that.
Counseling is done over Zoom but conducted in the same fashion as a regular in person appointment.
The adolescent and teenage years are complicated, stressful, and overwhelming. Teenagers often experience feelings of pressure and anxiety. Counseling is a judgment free space to talk through life, become more confident, and determine what you want life to look like.
Teenager Counseling
Child Counseling
A child’s mind is always developing and adapting to their surroundings, and even if a traumatic event hasn’t happened, every child can benefit from counseling. Counseling is meant to help a child understand everything going on in their life and determine healthy ways to cope as they grow.
Grief Counseling
The grieving process is something that many of us have experienced through changes in life or traumatic events. As everyone has heard before, the way out of grief is through it. Counseling can help recover from the feelings of shock, numbness and sadness.
Anxiety Counseling
Anxiety is something that almost all of us have dealt with at some point, but if managing anxiety has become debilitating in daily life, counseling could be helpful. Anxiety is treatable. The goal of counseling if for the feelings of anxiety to feel manageable so that you may feel calm, confident, and more in control of your life.
Special Needs Counseling
Autism and learning disabilities often lead to a tremendous amount of anxiety in a child or an adult. Counseling can help individuals struggling with anxiety or behavior problems by addressing the underlying causes and provide coping mechanisms and increase confidence, self-awareness, and communication.
Family Counseling
The goal of family counseling is to improve the relationships within the family in an environment where each member of the family addresses their thoughts and concerns to discuss as a family. Counseling offers each member of the family a safe environment to share feelings and understand others’ perspectives.
Trauma Counseling
A traumatic event changes a person’s life emotionally and possibly physically. If left unprocessed, trauma can have an effect on the body and mentally for years. Each person’s response to trauma is unique, but counseling can help identify the trauma and address the lasting effects.
Anger Management Counseling
If the expression of anger becomes destructive and aggressive, or if suppressing anger is causing headaches, depression or sleep problems, counseling might be a good option. Through recognizing anger and stress, counseling can provide mechanisms to control the anger.
Depression Counseling
About 5% of adults and 15% of teenagers have experienced depression at some point in their life. Counseling is focused on discovering what may be causing the depression and finding ways to enjoy life, find a sense of purpose, and hope for the future.
