family Counseling
Invest in your family
Parenting is hard. We understand that family dynamics can be complex, and changes or attitudes of one individual of the family affect the family as a whole. Counseling can help families foster open communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen the bond to build the family relationship because each individual within a family affects the family as a whole. Counseling can help with this.
Our Approach to helping
Family counseling provides each member of the family (or a parent and a child) the opportunity to express themselves and address problems or concerns in a safe environment. The goal of family counseling is to help each member to understand the other’s point of view and practice active listening to better understand each other. Sessions may include the whole family, the parents and child, or one parent and child. Family counseling may also be combined with individual counseling so that the counselor can better understand each individual before aiding communication between the rest of the family.
The goal of family counseling to foster healthy communication and emotional vulnerability in a safe environment, in hopes that a family can begin to practice the techniques and understanding established in counseling at home.
